I use Motrin for menstrual cramps. For me, it works much better than any other OTC pain reliever. It's also one of the more effective pain relievers for dental pain; used it when I was having some major dental work done several years ago. I've tried Aleve and it didn't do anything for me. And personally, I need to be better about doing things like getting massages, exercising, talking hot baths and such. I probably wouldn't have as much pain as I do if everything was in place. And my pain is really not that bad, anyway. Usually for just a day or two.
Motrin does not contain anything for PMS. And, frankly, I don't believe that it is as much of a 'problem' as many people would have us believe. If you study the practices of woman in indigenous cultures, they maintained all sorts of sacred practices are menstruation and 'Moon Time'. I believe that a lot of women's problems around there cycle is related to how disconnected women have become regarding this special time.
