The scarring is hard to live with, but I can tell you that they do fade, especially if you constantly slough off the old skin cells and get down to the lower levels (I have very thick skin). Retin-a and home micro-dermabrasion has helped a lot in this regard...very little old scars remain after many years, just relatively new ones. Not to mention technology is advancing every day.

However, this is one situation where I'd rather be a man; their Acne scars are considered macho and sexy, like Edward Olmos (I might not have the name exactly correct), James Woods, etc. Acne scars didn't stop them from getting to the top of their profession...even in a pretty-boy profession! But women have it much harder.
