He grows 5 kinds of vegetables all winter...

...In his unheated New England greenhouse.

Eliot Coleman is a teaching market gardener, and a genius.

If we can muscle test, we could also make contracts with organic growers. We guarantee to buy X pounds per week of guaranteed wholesome vegetables.

Keep it to the basic vegetables, adding in the fancies as available.

Right now organic growers toss the unsold stuff into compost, rather than lower the prices. That's very expensive compost!

We have an unused advantage in our buying power...advertising.

Growers spend huge amounts of money and energy getting their produce to market. It's heart-breaking.

One good muscle tester could connect any number of guaranteed customers to growers offering guaranteed wholesomeness, particularly at attractive prices!

One horse and a wagon could make a wonderful difference...and money!

All we need to do is rethink what we want to buy, and how we'll get it. Basics first.

The more we make this work, the faster suppliers will catch on.
