Visualising great health
Quite a good question actually!
"Get in, feel good, and get out. Get in, feel good, get out. Get in, feel good, get out"
The purpose of this is for those who find it difficult not to focus on their illness because it's been going on for a long time.
So, "the get in, feel good, get out" process is to use visualisation only in short stretches, like 2-3 minutes at a time.
So, how I would do this is to:
1. Collect information on what I want to achieve. I would look for examples of people that I know are in great health, think about what that would feel like if I had the same. Think about all the qualities I want for my health .. such as vitality, energy, slimness, enthusiasm, joy etc. I would also think about how I would live my life if I had wonderful health - such as going horse riding or running on the beach, or dancing the tango!! Whatever it is that I wanted for myself and would make me *feel good*. I would start a scrap book and put pictures and affirmations/words that describe what I intend to become, and keep looking at that to refresh myself.
2. With that information in mind, find a comfortable place, free of distractions,
lie down or sit in a chair and take some deep breaths, and then visualise myself in the situations I have been pondering above. But only for a few minutes - get in, feel good, get out. This exercise can be done many times a day. Eventually 2-3 minutes can be extended to 5-10 minutes, but get out as soon as the mind wonders on illness, or the lack of health.
3. I might also say to myself (silently) "My body knows what it needs to do to get well, I'll just relax and let it do it's work. For the time being, I only need to relax and breathe in and breathe out"
So, for a few minutes, several times a day, you deactivate the vibration of illness or whatever problem you face, and you will start to notice improvements. The improvements will start with feeling emotionally better and will then follow into the body.
Oh, and have your friend start of each day with "It is my dominant intention to feel good. I only seek out that which pleases me" This will help her/him focus on how the day will continue.
I hope that's helpful. Is that enough?
I'ts bed time now but I'll come check if you need any more guidance tomorrow.
