Spa Day Routine-at home
I am so happy to find this forum, I thought I would share my routines and recipes with you.
I also use Dry brushing most every day, but I have a few other steps you might like.
Usually, every week or two, I have a spa day.
Ingredients;
Thick floor length terrycloth robe.
Body brush,
Oil-Olive, Almond, Hazelnut, Jojoba, etc.
Mild soap
Rice flour
Sox,
A good movie
After dry brushing, I turn on the shower, and apply the oil to my skin, all over, the steam from the shower helps it to penetrate and soften. After massaging the oil into the skin, I use an ancient Greek technique, I scrape the oil from my skin. I could not find one of those tools so I improvised with one of my Sculpting tools. (I have uploaded a picture of what it looks like to the Skin Gallery) Gently drag the tool against the body to remove the oil and gunk/dead skin.
Using a mild soap and a body brush/scrunchie, lather and rinse.
Do not use a towel to dry off, (or if you must, pat not rub) Wrap in robe, but sox on your feel, hop into bed and watch the movie.
An alternate step to the scraping is to mix the oil into the rice flour, and upward circular massage it into the skin, then was off.
You can add essential oils to your carrier oil.
Note of caution here:- Use a towel in the bottom of the tub, Oily Feet!. Also, I have a dedicated, old sheet that I use on the floor of my bathroom on Spa days.
Enjoy,
Aqw
