I smelled a big stinkin' rat (in fact, it does a disservice to rats to say how big the stench was....) around Gardasil when the "news" of its hitting the market followed on the HEELS and I do mean very soon following the Vioxx settlement announcement almost 2 years ago.
I have TONS of friends who have had pre-cancerous cells/dysplasia/bad PAP smears, yet none who have contracted cervical cancer. The links are causal, not correlative, at best -- and that does not stack up as good enough evidence to administer this vaccine to girls. If you want to accomplish the real goal, just send some money to Vioxx, because that is the net effect of the vaccine!
Your little girl has a greater chance of being in a traumatic accident than developing cervical cancer. By this statistical logic, if you give the vaccine, you should also keep your child in a padded cell. Changing/making sound diet and lifestyle choices -- instilling them in children -- are the best innoculation money can buy....
