This is what business today calls "proactive marketing". It's all a big lie in order to get your money, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. It's been going on for decades, just in different forms. Nobody is emailing anyone about an upcoming class reunion...lol. No one is seeking you out. They play on your emotions of the curiosity that there's a long-lost love or best bud out there in the vast wasteland and he's come upon this island of truth. Are you the one...is it really you...sob, sob? Welcome to business in the year 2007, my friend. Bottom lines are extremely tight here in the Bush years and business models are designed from the factory to lie and cheat you in order to satisfy their upper tier. It's commonplace. As I have always stated, "Businesses will do whatever it takes to stay in business". Whatever it takes!
