Being female doesn't lead to being naive or wrong. Almost all women in the areas of the world where infibulation is practiced consider the genitals of American females ugly and somewhat immoral. They consider their own to be very neat and clean and the single small opening to be much more attractive than a slit between the labia.

The inconsistency in American thinking is that there is bitter opposition to female infibulation but almost mandatory stripping off of 50% of the male penis skin.
