Re: HELP ASAP Is Swelling and burning from salve normal?

Yes, burning, itching, pain and swelling are all a "normal" part of the process, with the black salve treatment. It is very important to clean it with hydrogen peroxide and put vasoline on it. You must keep it clean. Pay special attention to the edges as that will help it crack and separate. Once it cracks, you are nearly done, but it can take 2-3 weeks for the crack to occur. Once that happens, the eschar will come out in a couple of days. Do not pull on it. Let it work it's way out of your body on it's own. Keep the sore coated with vasoline and covered with a bandage at all times, except while cleaning. Clean at least once a day. When the eschar comes out you will see a big hole. Don't worry, the hole will fill in with scar tissue.

Find the book Cancer Salves and read it. I recommend reading the book before treating. There are colored pictures in the book, and a good explanation of what to expect, as well as how to take care of the sores. I was half way through the process before I even knew about the book. It would have really helped me to have read the book first. There are recipes in the book for herbal remedies that minimize scarring.

I took extra strength Aleve for the pain. It really helped.
