Drug companies are no longer permitted to claim that their psychiatric drugs cure neurotransmitter imbalances . Even with their money and power over the FDA, they can no longer sell their wares by making false claims that psychiatric drugs fix neurotransmitter imbalances.
There are several books that expose the myth of chemical imbalances as the cause of psychiatric problems . Dr Joseph Glenmullen wrote one of them . Peter Breggin MD wrote a book on ritalin and several other books on psychotropic drugs.Check

Recent studies have shown that ritilan shrinks the brain significantly. Antidepressants cause tardive dyskinesia , Parkinsonism ,severe TMJ and other chronic pain syndromes,strokes and other symptoms which often don't occur until well after the drugs are withdrawn so people don't connect the drugs with their symptoms.Drug trial on these drugs were only a few weeks and post market surveilance ins basically nil.Double blind studies show antidepressants don't work anyway and lead to more serious psych problems including disordered thinking characteristic of schizophrenia.How can you consider using these drugs to stay awake?
