Re: magnets helped me

Have you ever heard of any suggested cause? I never heard of this condition, but I developed epilepsy (petit mal) when I was six years old (grew out of it in mid 20's). A seizure for me was not the convulsive kind, it was simply that the blood had no effect on one side of my body (either left or right) for about a minute. If I was walking down the stairs at the time of the seizure, I would fall down the stairs because one side of my body gave out and I couldn't balance, but if I was quick enough, I could grab the banister with the arm from the side of my body that was still functioning.

For that the doctor gave me phenobarbitol and dilantin. I don't remember any details of my blood pressure but do remember having electroencephalagrams.

I never feared a relapse, but am wondering now if I should be vigilant. Are there any precondition symptoms or indicating weaknesses like pain in one arm (warning sign for heart attack)?.
