It depends of which species of tape worm that you have. The pork Tapeworm is a major health problem in many areas of the world, because it's eggs migrate and form cysts in muscle or organ tissue. The cysts can live a very long time, if they occur in a muscle, then anti-inflammatories are prescribed.

One of the reasons that taking herbs is a lot safer than taking some of the pharmaseutical tape worm killers (other than problems with manufactured drugs in general) is that they are supposed to be prescirbed with cortical steroids, so that if you have seizures from a cyst dying in the brain, you do not die.

Pork tape worm cysts in the brain are removed surgically, if you find a surgeon who recognizes the problem.

It's very much more likely that you have one of the other less damaging species. The thing on you tube did look like a tape worm to me, that was getting out through some sort of an abcess.

I have the feeling that there is a huge lack of knowledge about parasites, they have been ignored by the medical community.

I've had good luck killing off Tapeworms by eating something sweet about 20 minutes before I take the herbs. It's generally a good idea to have them active and trying to feed when you take the bug killer.
