Re: Link to The Book You Asked About

I never heard of anyone being mad at Socrates, but I can understand why he simply "gave up". I suppose he just came to a point in life similar to Solomon after he understood "too much" about life...

and feeling that way is by no means an ungodly feeling...

"Never look a gift horse in the mouth" is a wise saying, but only for those who accept the status quo (the truly Godly don't consider this an option and have too much courage to explore alternatives).

I don't know anything about "chi", "kundalini", or anything else you mentioned, but the philosophy of nudism (these days it is much more dignified than in the 1960's and and practiced worldwide as a "legitimate recreation"), but if you go to some nudist websites, you'll notice that everybody is happy and smiling because of the absence of sexual hangups (I imagine it is no deterrent in the dating scene). This is considered beneficial for the whole family (wives and children included) and there are even Christian nudist organizations and gatherings (their philosophy is that nudism is "normal" for the human being the way Adam and Eve were, etc.).

The "cuddle party" is a nice idea (like brothers and sisters in a peaceful family).

The lack of objectivity (stating the OBJECTIVE truth) in a discussion/debate is probably the main reason that disagreements become infuriating, but also that the other person is presented with confusion with replies like "Yes, BUT..." ("but" negates the truth, let your YES be YES and your NO be NO) or "SO,..." (meaning "I" have decided to disregard everything you just said and declare the conclusion/issue for you, "so, forget what you say"). Quite simply, not everybody involved is serious about the conversation and has their own agenda.

It is a sad world for a peaceful and contrite heart.
