I just talked to a friend who has been using Lugol's on moles and skin tags, who also said they had gotten itchy and then had shrunk/come off entirely. A lot of people here have reported skin tags coming off. My experience (based on my topical application of Lugol's to skin) and opinion (based on what I have read here both emprical and of the research conducted by various doctors) is that you won't hurt yourself applying Lugol's to unbroken skin. One of the Iodine doctors says that Iodine can cause the skin to rebuild itself from the inside out.

My opinion is that you should not worry just yet.
