Oh my gosh no.  This is what happens to a cat who gave comfort to the dying.

If this was such an issue could they not have removed Oscar from that job description?  Could the residents have requested that Oscar not come into their room?  Could some other arrangements have been made?  After all, all people do not like animals in the first place.  Some are afraid of them.

This has truly ruined my day.  There was no need to kill Oscar.  If it is foul play, I do hope that charges are pressed.
