The last 2 days I have done quite a bit of research about spaying (new word for me) a bitch and it seems that spaying before the first season has many negative side effects. Spoke to the breeder and homeopathic vet plus checked on many sites on the net.

And I really can't put my intact dog through 3 weeks of frustration. I am also not willing to remove 1 of the dogs from the home for a few weeks. Would be stressful for me and them. And even if I had a female, the thought of her being spayed is stressful.

So, my decision is made. We will be getting another intact male puppy. Will be meeting up with the breeder tomorrow to collect the puppy.

The best thing is that this breeder did not vaccinate, so will be starting the puppy on the homeopathic nosodes when we get him.
