Exposed nerve

I finally the rest of my Amalgams out, which is fantastic-but the procedure came with an unexpected turn. I Had 2 mercury fillings removed in 2004, and had four more tiny ones to go. The tooth that previously had mercury filling and filled with composite was filed down and refilled and crowned. I agreed to the crown because it was so little after removing the old composite, and I noticed that there was still some silver left inside-he removed that and that one is the problem! The dentist got a little carried away with grinding it down, or it couldn’t be helped-I don’t know for sure. I have been in constant pain for three weeks, and it looks like a root canal is only option because I just can’t take the pain. I thought if I toughed it out, pulled with Iodine and oregano oil, swishing with salt water, the nerve would heal. I have been oil pulling for over a year and iodining for 9 months, ip6 in my diet on an every other month basis. I didn’t want to do Colloidal Silver because of my Iodine ingestion. I am taking the anaerobic Antibiotics , just caved in today. I was wondering if anybody had an issue with healing an exposed nerve, or have something I could try. I don’t want a root canal done. The pain is debilitating and I’m resorting to narcotic rx. I’m tough, but this problem got me knocked down!
