hidronitus suppurtiva

I have had some issues since I had my last daughter which was 4 years ago. I gradually have been getting boils on my stomach. Evantually it has gotten worse by spreading even after I have been extra careful to keep the areas cleaned and wear loose clothes. I was first seen by a dermatologist that told me that I had folliculitis. I have been on several medications to treat this. Then the same doctor did a culture and told me that I had a form of staph infection so placed me on some bacterial Antibiotics . These medicines didn't work either. I changed dermatologists and found out that I have hidronitus suppurtiva (not sure if its spelled right). He is placing me on Accutane since no other treatments have worked so far. I start Accutane tomorrow. Most people talk about having severe Acne on their faces, since it is most common area, but am finding out if anyone else has had the boils on their stomach area and have been on Accutane. I am wanting to know if it has helped them and if it is worth taking the side effect risks. The worse thing about the boils is that when they start going away, they leave a purplish scar behind. Any advice will greatly help. Thank you.
