I have had this thought myself several times, and I am so worried for my friends and family, specially my friends that party a lot and eat really bad. I try to tell them about their precious intestinal flora and how to not completely wash it out, but it's like talking to a wall. On several of them I can see signs of candida, and they only see symtoms and frustration."

It is frustrating when people don't want to hear the truth! At some point, I think we need to realize that they must make their own choices and move out of their addictive thinking.

Why would they teach people "common sense"? The entire medical industry is set-up to disempower people even their own doctors! Before "health" became an industry, doctors use to look at the whole person and symptoms with great care. Not any more -- you are quickly evaluated with body parts and not a whole person. For your gut problem, you need to see a GI "specialist".

They said that it was nothing to worry about and that its common to become infected on trips, and the worms would die on their own in time.
