Re: Police Secrecy Behind Unmanned Aircraft Test

Zoe, just wanted to acknowledge how some of what you say here resonates....rings true. Actually, there are multiple instances of this in the context of a few different comments you've made in the past 1 to 2 weeks. It was about a week ago that you had mentioned to me the situation where some of us people sort of have to maintain a duality - one for dealing with / coping with the regular sleepy masses in our lives, one for dealing/coping with the more awake-related realities. This 'dichotomy' also has it's own fallout, one that the quickest way I can think to summarize is that a person living out the foregoing type of dual life must by necessesity keep on their person at all times at least two separate lexicons..."dictionaries" if you will; one to use while awake where words still convey their customary meanings for a time longer ago, and one to use while interacting with the sleeping where many words traditionally part of meaningful language have become forgotten due to lack of use / interest. We could easily add to this the need to carry around one or two other appropriate lexicons, like, one for newspeak and one to explain definitions according our "the authorities". The relatively good news / bad news in this is, the new-speak dictionary is one that is progressively getting smaller and smaller since it endeavors to distill the world and it's actors down to simpler, less meaningful terms.... okay, enough with setting the table for commenting on your post here.

That drones are being employed to look for suspicious activity or whatever....

On an average bad day for the people, who, does one suppose, are the ones entitled to define - by way of shaping, molding and re-defnining into terms that much more exploit modern circumstances at hand -  terms like suspicious? Granted, back when times were simpler (not all that long ago but receding into the past more each day :(  back when people by and large were more geuninely real - their own person, and less artificially animated, terms like "suspicious activity" held more meaning, and by virtue of these simpler times, it was a lot easier for the average person on the street to know, understand and recognize the gravity of truly suspicious activity if & when they observed it. That was then, this is now, time to turn those old meanings upside down; the lion's share of suspicious activity is being perpetrated by our so-called authorities. By this it should be clear that the foregoing - "what genuinely defines suspicious in this context?" was only a loaded question, of course. On an average bad day for average modern people, which these days can and is pretty much what any new day might turn out to be by it's end, "what?" defaults to the privilege of our everpresent "the authorities"; likewise with employed drones. Just to clarify, inanimate hunks of metal, plastic and fiberglass that are given to fly around the sky "planes" are certainly among the type of drone employed by our "the authorities", as are pretty much any swinging dick and flavor of HSA minion deputized to carry a badge in the name of "interests of national security". For those who are still stuck somewhere between genuine doubt and plain " doubt or no, i just don't wanna listen to such evidence", I refer you to any one of countless corroborating bits of evidence. Such evidence is literally blowing around our streets and neighborhoods like discarded litter that people would more prefer to ignore rather than picking up so as to properly handle.  Here is just one.

Napolitano: The Patriot Act’s two most principle constitutional errors are an assault on the Fourth Amendment, and on the First. It permits federal agents to write their own search warrants [under the name “national security letters”] with no judge having examined evidence and agreed that it’s likely that the person or thing the government wants to search will reveal evidence of a crime.

For those who might still be stuck in doubt, do you per chance remember what, according to legitimate law that existed until not all that long ago, constituted a search warrant? Flash forward to the present and ask your self "gee, self, just what IS a federal agent these days?". Guss what? A federal agent is any swinging dick who has enlisted themselves to be thusly deputized into fighting the cause of how our federal authorities have re-defined "in our interests of what constitutes your security" to be and or mean, from one day or moment to the next, whatever they claim it is; just like the law. It is whatever they say it is....and the storms of deputized ninja drones bashing down doors to the formerly secured-in-ernest places where a people once kept themselves and their papers private & secured, the beat to all of that that goes on.
