Police Secrecy Behind Unmanned Aircraft Test

I live north of Houston so the idea of "drones" flying overhead as
I sunbathe is not something I appreciate. I already know the terror
of living in Florida and we had put our garden in a fenced area
to keep deer from eating it, and men in helicopters and cameras
and automatic weapons came zooming in to investigate and I feared
for my life. All they got were pictures of eggplant and tomatoes
and such, but I WAS terrorized and thought they would kill us.

That drones are being employed to look for suspicious activity
or whatever and that men can come storming into your life just
on the suspicion that something they saw was interpreted wrongly
is unsettling to me. As it is google map can read the label on
your underwear, if it is showing, or count your navel hairs if
its showing, is already an invasion of privacy, in my mind. I
do not appreciate the prospect of invasion by drones and yet,
it seems we will have this reality soon in the skies over my life...

Local 2 Investigates Police Secrecy Behind Unmanned Aircraft Test

WALLER COUNTY, Texas -- Houston police started testing unmanned aircraft and the event was shrouded in secrecy, but it was captured on tape by Local 2 Investigates.

Neighbors in rural Waller County said they thought a top-secret military venture was under way among the farmland and ranches, some 70 miles northwest of Houston. KPRC Local 2 Investigates had four hidden cameras aimed at a row of mysterious black trucks. Satellite dishes and a swirling radar added to the neighbors' suspense.

Then, cameras were rolling as an unmanned aircraft was launched into the sky and operated by remote control.
