Re: anyone used pin-x for other worms than pin worms

I think this is pyrantel pamoate. If so, you do have to be careful with the does, beceause if you use a sub-clinical dose, in other words a less than effective dose, and you have round worms, you will cause them to migrate. In other words they get irritated, and they move out of the colon, and squirm somewhere else. Which you do not want to happen.

I tried it, just got sick, and I don't think I got any parasites with it becauase I didn't use enough to be effective. I am sorry I took it, because I know I have round worms, and they may have moved out of my intestinal track, and gotten somewhere that is more damaging.

I don't know about the effectness of the other prescription anti-helmetics, I know that albutrazole is supposed to be used with a cortical steroid in case that you have a cyst in your brain, and you have seizures. I've seen it sold through on line pharmacys, but I really don't want to try the drug.

I am also curious if anyone here has had any luck with the prescription medications for round worm or tape worm. Has anyone tried praziquantil? I've used it on my cats, if works for both cats and humans, and the cats got rid of their worms, and didn't seem to be bothered by it.

My instinct is that long term plants produce the strongest and best insecticides, which also are lethal to worms & flukes. I'm also commng to the conclusion that I'm going to have to get really healthy to fight off the parasite infection that I have, and make a lot of changes. Which means making changes in my diet, and exercizing more than I do, and attacking my low tyroid condition with something other the synthorid. I hated the synthroid so much I finally went off of it about five years ago, even though my thyroid was still too low. I actually felt better without the stuff. Now I've read that synthroid causes osteoporosis, so any time you take a medicine, better check out what it does really carefully.

Good luck, Pin X works for pin worms, and at least getting rid of them will help. If you have the other guys too, you might consider some alternatives, or just be really sure you are taking enough of it.
