Re: Study on Hydrogen Peroxide treatment for BV

I have suffered from chronic BV for 5 years now. The only script that's worked is flagyl. However, after 5 years I seem to have developed a resistance to it. Out of desperation I began douching with diluted hy. peroxide. The first couple of weeks it seemed to reduce symptoms. They eventually become even worse when I continue the treatment, and I am eventually forced to revisit gyno. The flagyl, or Metro-gel has some affect still, but never completely eliminates the infection. Other vaginal creams have done nothing. Some have suggested acidophilus, though I've read that it has "wrong" type of bacteria and will not help. I've also been told to try flax seed. I'm pretty desperate at this point. My new marriage has been all but ruined by my inability to have intercourse much of the time, due to the itching, burning, discharge, and foul odor.
