Why buy chlorite ? If I wanted it, I'd just make it electrochemically from table salt for about 39 cents a pound plus a dime for every kilowatt hour of electricity consumed. That still keeps the cost below a buck a pound.
Plus, don't have to store it. NaClO2 isn't exactly something laypersons should be playing with and storing around their homes. It can cause fire ! Tweet
