Mirena removal

I had my Mirena removed at the beginning of August...I had a period at the end of September. I thought everything was getting back to normal...I had bleed the entire time that I had Mirena in place (a total of 6 months). Then a week after I finished my period in September, I started bleeding again...for about a week. Then after that, I started bleeding again 2 weeks ago and haven't stopped. I've had some heavy bleeding and clots passed. I've seen my ob/gyn and she said that it's the effects of the IUD removal and it's just my hormones getting back to normal. Has anyone else had this happen? The constant bleeding is getting to me and it makes me wonder if everything is actually o.k. Thanks for sharing any similar stories!
