Re: POST CONTENT DUPLICATION
Hi Hanna,
Yes, I have come across many instances of this in reading archived posts...and am not sure when...let alone HOW...it happened. Odd things happen when systems crash or updates are made...such is life! I, too, am not about to go through all my posts...or all the old posts on CureZone...LOL!!! I stumble upon them now and then when I'm hunting for something that happens to take me back a while...both my posts and those of others. I am starting to edit them with [Edit: Message deleted due to post content duplication]...when I come across them...and where I am able to do so. But ONLY when I come across them. I'm not about to take on the task of tracking them down...unless the Big D wants to put me on a payroll...LOL!!! :)
And you are right about the funny feeling when you read a post that you KNOW you didn't author...or when you see someone else's post that you KNOW they didn't post...especially when you read it before and KNOW that other words were once there!
So what to do?...FOR ANYONE WHO FINDS ONE OF THESE STRANGE POSTS...you can copy the first few words or line of the post (not the Subject line)...enter them into Search...and you can easily find the original post that the strange post was duplicated from. This is precisely how I located the original post that was then duplicated in Prism's first post. I do not know if there is any way to retrieve the original post content to a post that has been replaced with content duplication...none that I can see, but perhaps Dusan can work some of his computer magic! If not...unfortunately, those posts are lost...such is life!!!
And ya know what else? I just gotta laugh that...in all this drama...anyone would vote against my posts...and entertain the idea that I am coming to anyone's defense...LOL! I saw a problem...THE DUPLICATION OF POST CONTENT...and I shed a little light on it. That's it! Some people do not want to see solutions...and some like to create more problems!! That's OK, too!!! It is not my problem...they have to make their way through the dark themselves.
May we all find our way.
:)
