Then why don't they say that the alcohol is the poison? I'm still seeing this often repeated Iodine tincure is poison thing as possibly an urban legend.

The father of toxicology said "poison is in the dose." Well where is it written and demonstrated that tincture will kill you???? How much tincture will kill you?
