Iodine itself is not the problem most of the time, its the chemical that the Iodine is combined with. The old Iodine tinctures that were used on cuts and scrapes and marked with a skull and crossbones was poisonous because of the kind of alcohol that was the carrier. Lugols is mixed with distilled water, one of the purest chemicals you can get. It is just 5% Iodine and iodide, and 95% pure water, and is administered in drops. Only a very deliberate overdose would be considered dangerous or lethal.

Beware of the jealous types that want to rake in the $$$$on their own products and use scare tactics to draw attention to themselves. Also beware of the medical types that want people to feel better, but never really get healthy and healed. If all of us got healthy and stayed that was, what would all the allopaths and pharmaceutical bigwigs do to afford their mansions, cars, vacations and other luxuries that they get by keeping the majority of the population a little bit sick and headed for disease?
