Chelsea and Stacie are probably just label-stickers and lots of people got that post-card or it wouldn't be mass-mailed and as you note, a marketing device! (I have yet to experience a doc or dentist calling me personally to ask if I am OK and want to touch base with them!)

So you can a) definitely request to get removed from their past-patient list where they sort by last-visit date (I used to do this in a fundraising database...those databases are very expensive and not in this case about the concern for patients but about raking in revenue!). However, I personally would write to the dentist and point out what you have pointed out eloquently here. He can reply or not (probably not) but your observation is not unfounded and I think we "enlightened ones" can make a dent over time with our repeated recountings to HCP's about other therapies.

I will say that their are certain dentists out there (IL's son's, most recently that I have made my return to CZ!) who seem genuinely interested, and after more than a year at this forum I have read about some dentists and hygienists who do notice and care. To that end, you might politely write the dentist and ask if you could spend that check-up time telling him about OP and showing him old posts. My guess is he would do whit about it, but every effort does count.

Kudos for you for seeing through the screen and not calling Stacie or Chelsea! (Although you might want to tell them that of all the HCP's (health-care professionals) dental ones, likely due to the mercury and metal exposure, exhibit the highest rate of mental illness. (Or maybe it is just staring at teeth all day long!)

I still have fantasies about hunting down my childhood amalgam/FL dentist and I would if there was a snowball's chance of suing his fake-smile a**....
