~money WELL spent!
The problem with all the pink crap is that they use us. Peer pressure. You didn't come up with the idea of doing that 60-mile walk on your own, did you? I am sure that there are those in your circle of acquaintance who inspired you, think that you're doing a good thing, etc. And I know that your intentions are good, and that it makes YOU feel good doing this.
The problem is that the powers that be USE our good intentions, USE our caring spirit to line their pockets, to fund the pushing of poisons. What a great corporate model, manufacture the poison AND the “cure”(not). And get the victims to work for you!

We've all been had. And even though some of us have an inkling that the money is mis-used, we still succumb to peer pressure. I have, too. It's danged difficult to refuse to "sponsor" someone doing one of those walks, and I'm guilty of sponsoring.
I won't, again, though. Not knowing what I know now. Read "The Cancer Industry" by Ralph Moss.
I have had 3 loved ones die of chemo. I will not fund that war.
