Trick or Treating in the Twilight Zone...

I was in the supermarket the other night and a young female voice came over the speaker system as I was shopping.

In a pleasant manner she said there was a drive to raise funds for breast cancer research. The store was asking shoppers to donate a small amount of money at the checkout counter to support this research.

Then as a thank you gesture to those who made a contribution, she announced that they were giving out special black and orange colored Halloween cookies and delicious chocolate chip cookies freshly made from the bakery!!!

They could snack on these while contemplating their donations to the cancer fund.

What a 'punch' line. Rod Serling is smiling in his grave.
