Re: First Timer, but oil tastes rancid
Thanks everyone for your responses, great information there!
I recently tried the coconut oil for ingesting (as it increases my energy and breast milk), however even a half teaspoon gave me horrible headache, swollen glands and nausea for a day, had to
coffee enema my pain away (did the trick too!)
i have not tried any iodine, other than seaweed, and not that often. living in europe, i have not found the resources of supplements or whole foods i'd been used to in california. some things are even not legal here, like stevia (???)
crazy.
anyway, breastfeeding and looking after a toddler means i am not able to get sick for long, so doing detoxes that cause pain (like possibly during liver flushes) have to be scheduled when I have a backup babysitter (weekends). The candida problem will have to wait, though a non-sugar diet (replacing with the non-existant stevia) would be a good place to start.
I'm doing the little things I can for now: LFing, coffee enemas, castor oil packs, juicing, raw beetroot/EVOO/lemon juice salads (really good, tasty and mellowing!), and most recently the oil swishing.
I find the oil swishing very difficult to do for longer than about 6 minutes, and it gets thin and white foamy very fast, like within 3 minutes. I redo it 2-3 times though, as my mouth is sore like I need to build up my mouth muscle strength to get it to the full 15-20 minutes. A. Moritz said to do it for shorter lengths of time, and do a few back to back.
I will continue to use the olive oil, it's probably fine, just throat burny.. though I will trust my taste buds on the sunflower oil. I'm better at detecting rancid nuts than olives, and think I'm just not used to the taste of healthy olive oil. Luckily both of the OOs I have here caused burny sensations so they must both have good qualities to them.
Thanks again!
