Re: IUD removed...When do side effects go away?
hi apple blossom, so good to hear from you again, i was wondering what had happened but had hoped it was a good sign, in that you were feeling better and busy with the new job etc and that you hadnt had a chance to post - I am so sorry to read that that is not the case, and that in fact you are still having lots of problems. it is definately a good idea to get your hormone levels tested to see exactly where they are at the moment.Heater researched this, and found that saliva tests are more reliable than blood tests, so if you can arrange for a saliva test to be done, you will get a more accurate and up to the minute result. I ordered a saliva test from America, so i didnt have to get my doctor involved - the saliva lasts quite a while in the test tube, which is good because UK post is so bad lol.
In view of the lateness of your period, have you done another pregnancy test yet just in case? Even if you are not pregnant, the fact that you WERE pregnant even for a short time, would have started all your hormones off again, and i know from what other friends have said, who have had miscarriages, that it can take ages for their hormones to settle - when you think what you have been through, just with Mirena, let alone being pregnant, and all the other stress, it is not surprising that your hormones don't know whether they are coming or going.
I do so hope that things settle down for you soon.
Are you still on your progesterone cream? or have you stopped that since the question of pregnancy? and are you taking anything else, apart from the anti-depressants? Going caffeine and
Sugar free should help some of the side effects including the depression. Check your creams and body lotions too, for
preservatives like the Parabens group which are xenoestrogens and raise the bad form of estrogen in the body, which will only contribute to all those effects. LOL - i had ordered a proper bio identical progesterone cream, but while i was waiting for it to arrive, i bought a normal wild yam cream at the local health store, even though they are not supposed to do much, i thought it would be better than nothing - then i saw it was less than useless because it had 3 different types of Parabens in it, so i just threw it away, along with most of my cosmetics and other face and body creams! The proper bio identical cream has arrived now, which contains the USP version of progesterone as reccommended by Dr. Lee and does not contain parabens:) Of course you always have to have some kind of preservative in commercial creams, but parabens seem to be one of the worst ones!
How are you managing to cope at your new job with your headaches and dizziness etc? Are they understanding there? hope so!
I hope also that your kittens are continuing to give you joy and that your little boy is having fun with them too:) Hoping to hear back from you soon and in the meantime, thinking of you. love, Kabel xx
