Re: A blade of grass and timelessness

'helps me to feel less strange, less unconnected.'

One of the first things I do with my day after I've put my time in at work is to literally collapse into the arms of Nature. Daily excursions deep into the woods where there's no one else except the occasional dog and its owner tromping thru the grasses.

Usually there's no opening to display love to these dear people out walking their dogs. They're either deeply absorbing the healing proffered by Mother Nature, or they're attempting to LET GO of their day inside the world of men. I keep myself open to smile at them or acknowledge the beauty of the landscape or even to interact with their canine friend. The dogs seem always open to loving...of course, they've not been stressing (except to eagerly await their master's return home) or working for the past 8-10 hours either!

To me the land, trees, rolling pathways, sunshine, fresh breeze are the epitome of God. Nothing can heal me faster than this daily excursion. As I walk my daily walk, I take mental & emotional pictures of not only the landscape but of the feelings of peace it offers in order to take it to work with me the following day. I can jettison myself right back to that wonderful park in a singular breath. This is where I hope to transition...deep in the woods - quietly (similar to the old woman living in the woods who aided Inman in the movie Cold Mountain). This is where my point of Connection is.
