If it is coming to a head that it needs to do that and it won't heal until all the junk is out of there. You do not want it to heal over without getting all the yuck out! I had one under my right arm pit. It was the size of a gulf ball for about 4 weeks. It finally burst open but took 4 more weeks to heal over. I still feel like it healed over too quickly. I used peroxide to clean mine out.
