I gave my 16 year old son Micah my old copy of Ray Bradbury's Farenheit 451 as an xc assignment for his Am Gov class. He couldn't put it down, and all day yesterday he kept coming to me with comments like, "Mom... it's happening now." "Mom... listen to THIS paragraph...." Last night when I went to bed at 11:30, I caught him still up, reading the book with a highlighter. How many kids do you know read a book with a highlighter when they don't have to? I guess the apple really doesn't fall very far from the tree. :-)
Do yourself a favor. Check F451 out at your local public library and read it again. With a highlighter and a notepad.
