That is a good question.

It seems to me that there are many kinds of love. The love of a man and woman, a parent and child, a patriot for his country, a boy for his dog,a seeker for his God, and on and on.

But as I see it, they all have one thing in common. When you love someone, you put their welfare on an equal par with your own, and if you really love them, you put it ahead of your own.

Otherwise, what you are feeling is your own need for gratification. Tweet
