When does your Period start after Mirena IUD Removal

I had my IUD removed 10/5/07 after 2 1/2 years with little side effects. I started to feel like my period was coming by that night and then started it by noon the next day. I did not even realize it had started. It cont really light for 6 days. I don't think I could have used up a lite tampon or pad (if you could keep one in that long). Talk about a PMS crash!! I was the last person you wanted to piss off last week. Other then that, It was great.

My question is: Do I count my period as starting on 10/5, the day I got it removed. Or 10/6- the day I started to spot.

I am TTC. I have always had no problem in the past. Even got pregnant when I was 17 on Depo. I had sex last night and did not get up to do anything to allow those little guys to swim up there and give them a better chance. on Fertilityfriends.com it says that my "Fertile days" are the 15th, 16th, and 17th and ovulation is due on the 18th. But if my period did not start till the 6th then it pushes it all back a day and I don't know if last night will have done anything. I just want this baby more then my DH and he making it hard on me. I know it will be just fine once Im pregnant and I have two kids already so adding another one is not a huge new event in our life.

Second question: How long can sperm live for?
