Re: my ovarian cyst ruptured, now what?

I realize this message is a few months old, but here goes.

I had two kinds of cysts. One I get frequently is functional cysts, which go come and go with my cycle. They can leak and be painful, but do eb and flow.

The other cyst I had was from endometriosis. This one attached itself to my right ovary. I had it removed by laproscopy, as it had grown very large, and had to go. I was warned ahead of time, that it could rupture, and if it did, go to the hospital, as the burst cyst could cause infection in the abdominal cavity and I could loose the ovary. I was told the pain would be so intense I would HAVE to go to the hospital. I don't know if your cyst is the same type of thing. I hope not, and I don;t want to alarm you, but I am just sharing my experience if it helps any.
