Hi Meg,

It might be easy if you had a designated room.
I used a shop light which I put full spectrum
light bulbs in, the long tube ones. I had the
lighting on a timer.

For germinating, I would soak the seed and then
put it in my pans and then I put in in a larger
sealed plastic box, an under-bed bin worked well.
I put it in a dark closet for 2-3 days or longer
until the sprouts were an inch or two high. Then
I brought them out and kept them under the grow
light system. I used a pump mister for watering
them. Of course, your cats will make short work
of your grass if they find it, but it can be a
relatively easy way to grow a good amount inside
and I did not have any major problems when I did
it.
