Re: Toxic home fumes

While Hulda Clark does point out a lot of good things to be aware of like this, to an extent it is not practical for a lot of people to rip out all of their plywood, drywall and carpeting to replace with friendlier material.

A few things you can do to hedge againsts these various and assorted toxic and chemcial fumes: as long as you can tolerate, keep the windows open to provide fresh air into the house; ceiling fans, and floor fans are good to keep the air circulating - on the other hand, air that doesn't circulate can accumulate toxins and/or radon anywhere hi or low where there is stagnant air. Also, try to wean yourself from typical toxic household items like various cleaners, solvents, preservatives, cosmetics, flouride-based toothpaste, SLS-based soaps, etc., and try to make do with home-made or natural-made substitutes. You'd be amazed how many such items that we put in , on and around our bodies regularly contain hazardous materials. A year ago I learned how to make home made soap and have since adapted to using it for various body and home cleaning chores. Using diluted grain alchol in a spray bottle is also quite handy for various cleaning and sterilizing chores around the house.

Outside the house, this is just as big of a problem, especially with people who do not have detached garages. Built-in garages tend to have their air/fumes drawn into your living spaces adding to the overall problem. I don't mean to make light of this situation, but, Hulda advises that if you DO have these in a built-in garage, they should all be taken outside.....sounds kind of odd, and I can just see/hear the typical unaware husband saying "you want me to move all of this stuff OUTSIDE the garage?....what's wrong with you woman, are you nuts?" ;) Keep the air moving in your garage too - venting, windows, fans.
