Luella, I've got an addition for this:

Coconut oil ... take it interanlly, use it for lotion.  Coconut oil is a mediumchain fatty acid that is unique to the tropical oils.  Germs/bacteria, viruses, funguses have a tightly "woven" cellular membrane.  This membrane is loosened by the medium chain fatty acid and the high pressure inside the "parasitic" cells litreally cause them to explode, destroying them ... this tidbit from Bruce Fiffe's The Coconut Oil Miracle.
