You follow your intuition and if it's following their recommendations please feel ok to do that.
You don't have to eat 100% raw foods, you can up your intake to 50-75% and still have a nice hot lunch or dinner. Fresh produce, fresh green juices, fruit smoothies, some nuts, or nut butters, are all wonderful healthful foods, and in my opinion should be recommended over cooked standard american foods, SAD which stands of Standard American Diet.
If you do nothing, then I suggest adding a daily fresh green juice or smoothie. Very healing, along with your Iodine intake.
