The power of prayer? "Something" happened in Austin last week.

The new hearing is 6 weeks away, but Ben has only three weeks to get his paperwork in.  It is one in a seemingly never-ending series of hearings.

Now here is something I have not reported that I found very interesting.  First of all, I know that many people were praying for Ben, himself a devout Christian, last Wednesday when the hearing was held, and about 20 showed up in court - just a fraction of what is to come if the State continues to press onwards.

When the hearing opened, Ben declared that he refused to accept jurisdiction.  The judge refused to have any of it, saying repeatedly "No, no, no, no" and that "We are only here today to consider the Attorney General's motions (for discovery, interrogatories, sanctions, etc.) and Ben contends that he argued to the point of fearing he would be jailed for contempt, at one point asking, "are you trying to force me into a contract against my will, your Honor?" and at another stating "I forbid this hearing to continue".

Ben said that in distinctively eerie turn of events the Judge was continuing to refuse him when she suddenly looked up and addressed the Assistant Attorney General and  declared "We will not be hearing the Attorney General's motions today.  I am scheduling a hearing in six weeks on the matter of jurisdiction" and suddenly it was over.

Is that odd or what?  Ben said it was like an Angel suddenly tapped the Judge on the shoulder and he has no explanation for it.  I told him that he surely had a lot of people who had him in their prayers that day.

As a wise gal once told me "no matter what your beliefs are, a prayer is a positive thought broadcast through the universe".  I have always remembered that and thought it kind of profound.

Ben also reports that the Assistant Attorney General indicated in Judges chambers after the hearing in that the State had no intention of settling the case, and then lied to the Judge when Ben pointed out that the State had already reneged on a previous agreement (at which point Ben told him pointedly "You're just a liar" and said he had copies of all the correspondence and emails proving it).

There is no indication that the State intends to back down.  If they go forward I think they will find it interesting just how much interest and support are going to be gathered.  And I can promise they will be less than thrilled when I publish copies of the documents showing that employees of both the State Attorney General and Health Departments are commissioned officers of the FDA, as well as the bogus Search Warrant they attempted to serve that was never properly filed or executed.

It will likely not play well either when sworn statements by Utopia Silver employees are presented stating that the Health Department Inspectors who came out stated that they had been told that Ben Taylor was a member of the radical Republic of Texas group and was to be considered armed and dangerous.  Ben was actually the local Republican Party chairman for years until he determined that there was no longer any real difference between the two parties and that politics and elections were now mostly for show.

If that's radical, count me in!

Don't tell anyone that Ben is in Bandera kicking up his heels a bit tonight at a true Texas cowboy place.  Knowing him, he MIGHT have had two whole beers! They have a hitching post on one side of the entrance where real cowboys ride up and tie up their horses, and one on the other side for the motorcycles. Shhhhhhh!
