Are you certain?

Its always been my understanding that certain chemicals will be evaporated and reconstituded or at least certain constituants passed on, when using the water distillation process. So filtering first would seem to be prudent and possible what you would be advising also. Seems to be a safety measure that I prefer not avoiding at least somewhere in the stream. Especially if some think evaporation is safe for chemically contaminated water.
