Freedom of Speech (edited version)
parasite Rex by Carl Zimmer explains how
parasites control the host. Heavy infestation might explain why some people get all upset for seemingly no reason at all, and come after you all mean-like. Infestation definitely causes paranoia, forgetfulness, brain fog, and all manner of discomforts, as well as food craving.
Now I'm going to hijack this topic. I'm for freedom of speech. It guarantees that idiots have their say. Why do we want idiots to have their say? So they can reveal their idiocy and we can laugh at them (or with them) instead of taking them seriously.
Now I'm absolutely certain I've said my share of idiotic things. I say idiotic things for the fun of it on You Tube.
But when I write down idiotic things for people to take seriously, I hope somebody points out the idiocy, so I can come to my senses and correct what I've written. It may be that I was having a psychotic moment from cleansing too many halogens and heavy metals. It may be that I was under a lot of stress. It may be that I was in a hurry to get something written, the phone rang, and I never got a chance to edit before I had to go on to something else. Thread gets lost in the mix... etc etc.
And sometimes I learn things that make me change my mind about something. Like they've changed the Amquel fish water detoxifier formula and it doesn't smell or feel like it used to in the bath water any more. Yucko. Think I'll see if I can get my money back.
Back to your topic... Whenever I observe harsh accusations, I try to remember that such behavior is indicative of heavy infestation, as
parasites will make you mean. They thrive on the chemicals people emit when they are angry and anxious. When people with ulterior motives fail to act altruistically for the good of all concerned, it is an indication of illness. If the human race is going to survive, we must begin to see others as extensions of ourselves and treat them gently, the way we would care for our own selves.
Now... I have developed a method of educating that is fun and feels safe to me. I wouldn't dare to give out advice the way you give it, because I used to work in a vitamin store, and the FDA would have shut us down if we so much as had a book about an illness on the same shelf as the herb recommended in the book.
I also took a correspondence course in Naturopathy that taught me how to word things exactly specificallly in a certain way, so as to avoid being accused of practicing medicine without a license. There are buzz words the AMA hates. One is "cure"... You can prevent, you can educate, you can do anything but cure. If you cure something, they'll put you in jail. Out of jealousy, I guess.
Another one is "diagnose"... You cannot tell somebody what they've got unless you are a doctor, in the USA, because that would be practicing medicine without a license. If you suspect they might have something, then you must send them to a doctor for confirmation and diagnosis. NEVER NEVER NEVER diagnose anyone, is the rule, unless you are a doctor, unless you want to go to prison for practicing medicine without a license, in the good old USA.
Now I'm not sure about this, but I think (if you had a good enough lawyer) you'd also have to be accepting money for curing and diagnosing, before they could actually convict you, because otherwise it is just the opinion of a hobbyist, and not a practice.
I think your pictures are beautiful. I hope you find a cure. I respect your unabashed courageous advice. I appreciate the way you share your opinions, even though much of what you say is way beyond my ability to comprehend.
More power to you Shroomy. I love you.
