While I agree with most of what has been posted I also know that while "the sun nourishes every living thing", it also scorches the earth, dries the tongue until it could fall out of one's head, causes deadly cancers, fails crops, dries up riverbeds until all life perishes....

I'm sure you get a more balanced picture!

And God is the same way. We do grave harm when we only preach HALF the Word and give only "feel good" sermons week after week after nauseum.

One of the greatest sermons ever preached to this day was Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God!
