Tek and Speedy1

Dear Tek & Speedy1:

I understand your points. I want to make myself absolutely clear, here. There is no debate. The issue here isn’t whether or not he’s a “good person” – the issue is that there’s apparent attitude problem that comes through loud and clear.

There is nothing wrong with giving an opinion or sharing information which is what these forums are all about. Shroom, in fact, has shared a few things on this forum that have been useful -- but he did it with discernment (Key word, I think). Although, the format is a public forum, I personally don’t have time to play around with people’s lives. I take this rather seriously. Perhaps, if Shroom wants to become a professional one day he might want to use some discernment. When information is given with an air of attitude there is a problem! When people are addressed as “offending sensitive people” there is a problem! The apparent lack of respect and disregard is what is most bothersome to me.

I know plenty of scientifically minded individuals who have made a difference in this world, many of whom I know on a first name basis, some world-renown. My point here is that the BEST in the world (several that I can think of) don’t come off with having an attitude nor are they so insensitive to address people as “offending sensitive people”. In my experience, they don’t use pseudo-talk when addressing people, plus they patiently take the time to thoroughly educate people in their field of knowledge. Three individuals [that I can think of right now] are extremely knowledgeable and have never come off or appeared to be an authority on something [this includes after receiving critical acclaim for their achievements]. Even when they have knowledge, they still are in a process of learning – this has been my experience of being around certain individuals for years!

The Scientific Forum would be a place for Shroom, as I’ve clearly stated! I have not discouraged him in his works. There are some things that he maybe onto something if he didn’t do so much hopping around. I initially followed the posts because of the potential, but the lack of discipline became apparent. To ask further questions on the P Forum would take away from the support for those people that are desperate. Shroom might have potential -- with the appropriate and correct attitude he might be able to accomplish something, but before he can do that, he needs to get a grip on the attitude problem and have greater respect for the field he’s trying to represent. There are specific posts that he’s made that are inappropriate – many don’t have anything to do with parasites! Using discernment would be in order which is greatly lacking.

I think the expressing the lack of concern for 70428’s welfare, or lack of “hugs” or encouraging words to our fellow suffer has become apparent! I find this extremely interesting!
