Re: Iodine and Insomnia Question - Re-Post

good suggestions, thanks. I did instinctively do that today - kelp only in the morning, tsp. oil w/breakfast, and then just a smidge of cod liver oil at lunch.

I had forgotten about the ornithine. I tried it in the past with no results, but it's worth another go at this point.

In the past couple of years I've had the jumpy, itchy thing at night - probably
"restless leg syndrome," whatever the hell that is. At first I thought it was magnesium or mineral deficiency, but it hasn't gotten better since I've been supplementing. Just better some nights than others. That's not necessarily what keeps me up, though sometimes it does. It's not a racing mind - mostly it's just a feeling of energetic wakefulness at the wrong time of day. I'm on a very late schedule because of our jobs, going to bed around 1 or 2 (daylight savings time right now), and past few weeks even later because I just can't sleep. I know that's out of whack with nature, which isn't helping, but before I started supplementing with the kelp/cod liver oil, I was doing OK with that schedule and actually starting to sleep better. The new supplements seem to be helping my headaches, which is nothing short of miraculous - I mean it, and I don't want to go back if this is what will move me forward.
