Re: Coconut milk and oil?

Coconut is good for you in any form. Homemade coconut milk is great. Coconut oil is even better: Caprylic acid and Lauric Acid (found in breast milk!!). Good short chain saturated fat chains.

I read the post but I'm sure that the additives in the commercial coconut milk are the problem, not the coconut itself.

But, don't abuse. Saturated fat, even the short chain version in coconut, can be bad if you take too much. And it doesn't really shift the balance towards the Omega 3 fat, so try to take other oils as well to achieve balance. ALA (flaxseed oil) is great for this, or at least EV olive oil.
